CLEAR (Choosing Life: Empowerment, Action, Results!)
CLEAR is an evidence-based health promotion intervention for youth and adults (ages 16 or older). CLEAR is unique because it provides clients with the skills to make healthy choices in all areas of their life. In other words, it addresses the client’s overall life context. Our counselors can help you examine your life goals and help you learn skills to avoid making decisions that might harm your health or prevent you from reaching your dreams.
How does it work?
- 5 Core Sessions (45 min-60 min) where you learns essential cognitive behavioral techniques such as reframing, positive self-talk, and relaxation.
- At the end of each core sessions you identify both a life goal and one or more prevention goals to focus on throughout the program.
Living with HIV?
People living with HIV can receive a $10 gift card for each of the 5 sessions. Complete all 5 and receive a $50 gift card bonus ($100 total).
Schedule a CLEAR appointment or to learn more, please email Clyde Lipp or call (309) 762-5433.
Support Groups
The HIV/AIDS Support Group meets often, pick the time that is most convenient for you and join us! You do not need to be a patient or client of The Project to attend group therapy/support groups. These groups are open to anyone living with HIV/AIDS. Lunch or dinner is provided.
Because of COVID-19, the HIV/AIDS Support Group has been restructured for the safety of our clients. For more information, contact Jessica at 309-762-5433 or via email.
