Invite the project to your Community Event

At The Project, we know care, education, and connection should meet people where they are. Partnering with trusted community organizations allows us to amplify our mission while extending HIV prevention, LGBTQ+ health, education, and support services beyond our walls.

If your organization is hosting an event and would like to invite our team to participate, please submit a request using our Community Tabling/Speaker Request Form.

Why Invite Us?

Our presence at community events helps reduce stigma and increase awareness about the lifesaving care, testing, and support services available at The Project. We prioritize opportunities that reflect our commitment to:

  • Health equity and harm reduction

  • Dignity-affirming, person-centered care for all people including LGBTQ+ communities

  • Education rooted in compassion and lived experience

  • Serving communities disproportionately impacted by HIV

What Our Participation May Look Like

Depending on capacity and event needs, our team may provide:

  • An informational resource table

  • HIV education and prevention services including no-cost HIV testing

  • Conversations about testing, PrEP, and care navigation

  • Referrals to supportive services

  • A visible, affirming presence in the community

  • An engaging, informative presentation on a specific topic

While we strive to meet as many requests as possible, please note that submitting this form does not guarantee attendance.

What We Ask From You

To help us thoughtfully evaluate your request, the form will ask for:

  • Event details (date, time, location, intended audience, etc.)

  • Hosting organization contact information

  • How our participation supports your event goals

  • Type of involvement requested (tabling, speaker, outreach, resources)

  • Logistical considerations (space, accessibility, setup)

Complete and accurate information helps us ensure meaningful engagement at your event and for those community members in attendance.

Planning Ahead Matters

We ask that you please submit your request at least two weeks in advance. Advance notice helps us in coordinating staff, preparing materials, and ensures we can show up fully present for our community. Our team will review your request and follow up with next steps or additional questions. You’ll be notified if we’re able to participate.
