The Project is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. This policy governs all aspects of employment at The Project, including selection, job assignment, compensation, discipline, termination and access to benefits and training. Any employee found to be engaging in any type of unlawful discrimination is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

The Project complies with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations and no one will be unlawfully discriminated against because of race, religion, color, sex, gender, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, disability, pregnancy, military status, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, genetic information, conviction record, order of protection status, or any other characteristics protected by applicable state or federal law.

Workplace Harassment and Discrimination

Employees should have the expectation to come to a work environment that is accepting and is free from harassment or other disrespectful behavior. The Project has no tolerance for harassment and discrimination. We strive to provide a respectful and productive workplace for all. “Harassment” is unwelcome conduct that interferes with work performance or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment. Harassment can occur between employees at all levels of the organization.

“Discrimination” is defined as the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things. The law prohibits discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, age, gender, sex, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, military status, order of protection status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical and mental disability.

Harassment can include sexual and physical harassment, quid pro quo harassment, micro-aggression, bullying, job shaming, verbal threats, derogatory comments, discriminatory or exclusionary behavior and a variety of other offensive conduct.

If you believe you are being harassed and/or discriminated against, you must report this to your supervisor, to Human Resources or any member of senior leadership. Your concerns will be taken seriously and investigated. The Project is committed to ensuring the workplace is free from unlawful harassment and/or discrimination and will act if an employee feels any such activity has taken place.

We are committed to confidentiality of your claims to the degree possible to conduct an adequate and responsible investigation. We will ensure to address performance matters according to all appropriate policies, procedures, and other legal requirements. Given the confidentiality of human resource matters, you may not be informed of the specific action or resolution implemented, if any.

The Project prohibits retaliation as a result of your good faith claim and if you feel you have been retaliated against for making a good faith report of discrimination or harassment, you must report this to your supervisor, Human Resources, or any member of senior management.
