Go-Go Dance Party Pre-event Reception
The Project of the Quad Cities is hosting a small reception happening Thursday, April 9 from 5-6 p.m. at the Figge Art Museum in conversation with the works of Félix González-Torres. We'll enjoy light conversation, a candy bar, and have information available about our services.
After our reception, attend the Figge's Go-Go Dance Party hosted in conversation with González-Torres' piece "Untitled (Go-Go Dance Platform)". This free event will be a celebration, featuring a DJ, Go-Go dancers, drag queens, glow sticks, a cash bar, a free raffle, resource tables & more. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!
About Félix González-Torres
From now until June 21, the Figge is hosting "Untitled (L.A.)", a deeply influential work reflecting on themes central to Gonzalez-Torres’s practice: the joyful celebration of LGBTQ identity alongside acknowledgment of ongoing challenges to the community’s rights and the enduring impact of the AIDS epidemic.
